Filled in a connect card at a church? This is not the page you want. That information belongs to the church you gave it to — ask them for their privacy notice. Our role is explained in section 6 below.
ChurchContact is a service of ChurchlyHost, a trade name of BigHype Media LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“ChurchlyHost”, “we”, “us”). The LLC owns the churchcontact.app domain and the software behind it, and provides the hosting the service runs on. This policy explains what we do with information collected through churchcontact.app.
The legal entity responsible for your information is BigHype Media LLC. ChurchlyHost is the name it trades under.
When you enquire. The form on this site asks for your name, your church’s name and your email address, and optionally a phone number, your church’s website, and whatever you write in the message box.
Automatically. Your IP address and the time of the request, recorded alongside the enquiry to prevent automated abuse.
Analytics. We use two measurement tools on this site:
We run no advertising network on this site and we do not sell or share what either tool collects. If you would rather not be measured, your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting or an ad blocker will stop both.
To reply to you, to work out whether the service suits your church, and to keep a record of the conversation. That is all. We do not build a marketing list from it and we do not send newsletters.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own purposes.
Enquiries are kept for two years, so we can pick up a conversation that went quiet, and then deleted. Ask sooner and we will delete it sooner.
Email [email protected] and we will show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. If your state or country gives you a formal right to those things we will honour it wherever you are — it is simpler than checking, and you should have it anyway.
Churches that buy our service collect connect cards from their own visitors. That information belongs to the church. We process it on their instructions in order to run the service, and we retain an operational copy so we can support it and diagnose faults.
We never sell it, never market to a church’s congregation, and never use one church’s information for another church’s benefit. Our obligations are set out in the data processing addendum every church receives.
If you gave a card to a church and want it removed, ask the church. They can instruct us and we will act on it.
This site is aimed at church leaders and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about children through this site.
Connect cards may include information about children, entered by a parent or guardian. That is handled under section 6 and under the church’s own notice.
Credentials are stored outside the public web directory, submission logs are blocked from web access, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect. If something goes wrong we will tell affected churches promptly.
We will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes also go by email to any church currently using the service.
